Elizabeth ClarkeNational Liaison Officer
I have been on a WDP committee since 2010.
I was abruptly voted as President of NSW in 2011 and held that position until 2016.
I was lucky enough to attend the WDP International Meeting in July 2012 in New York.
I have attended national meetings in Adelaide and Queensland in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
When NSW accepted the role of the state organiser I was elected the National Liaison Officer for 2020-21. The induction was in Melbourne in November 2020.
I wholeheartedly support the motto of World Day of Prayer “informed prayer, prayerful action.”
I endorse the ecumenical aspect of the movement and know that participants at the services everywhere value it.
The basis of our work is centred on the Word of God that supplies the theme of each year’s service from a different country. We can be citizens of the world, learn about their challenges, hopes and dreams and unite with them in prayer and action.
