World Day of Prayer Australia National Committee
Message from the National Liaison Officer
My name is Judith Barton, and I serve as National President of World Day of Prayer. It has been a privilege to serve as President. I look forward to our 2027 centenary, when women around the world will unite in prayer, renew their faith, and encourage one another.
May the Lord open us to new possibilities, teach us to pray and walk with Him, deepen our trust in His Word, and draw us closer to our loving, gracious, and merciful God.
Proverbs 3:5–6: ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will make your paths straight.’

Language, Healing and Hope
Bible Society Australia (BSA), with the support of World Day of Prayer Australia, works alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christians to make God’s Word accessible in the languages people speak, understand and connect with most deeply. Through Bible translation, audio Scriptures, visual storytelling and culturally appropriate Bible resources, Indigenous communities are encountering God’s Word in ways that honour both faith and language. Translators such as Tjulyata from Amata help bring Scripture to life not only through translation, but through artwork that communicates Bible stories for new generations.
