Denise, an Anglican, is married to Garth and they have three adult children. She has been involved with World Day of Prayer in her area for 15 years. She formed Family Aid to Missions and headed the organisation, calling volunteers to assist. For many years they sent 20 ft containers of goods to overseas countries until the cost of doing so became prohibitive.  Denise now provides care especially to the elderly and those who don't have family.

Barbara is passionate about World Day of Prayer. She has been involved with organising services for 18 years. Prior to moving to Adelaide she was involved with both World Day of Prayer  and Australian Church Women in Darwin, Mount Gambier and Port Augusta. She has worked within her own church as Secretary and during her time in Port Augusta as Presbytery Secretary and Elder within the Uniting Church .
On moving to Adelaide Barbara was elected to the State Committee of WDP representing Churches of Christ. Her involvement with Australian Church Women of SA (Brighton Branch) continued.  She has now served as State Secretary of WDP for 3 years. She attended the national meeting in Hobart in 2005 and the international meeting in Toronto in 2007 as Alternate, accompanying the National Liaison Officer.
