Barbara Arnold
National Liaison Officer
My involvement with World Day of Prayer commenced in a country centre where I helped with organising the local WDP services. When we moved to Adelaide I became involved in the local Australian Church Women Branch – Brighton, where again I became part of the team organising the local WDP services. It was during this time I developed a real passion for the work undertaken by the World Day of Prayer Committee and I am extremely proud to be part of the organisation.
In 2004 I became the Church of Christ representative on the State Committee, taking on the role of Secretary. In 2005 I attended my first National Meeting in Hobart and was nominated for the role of Incoming National Liaison Officer. My commissioning as NLO occurred during the 2009 National Meeting in Melbourne.
I also serve as an Elder in my local church, and in the spare time I have I belong to a small quilting group. Married to Raymond we have a blended family of six children ranging from 51 years to 38 years of age. We have 14 grandchildren and a beautiful little great-grand daughter who is just five months old.
